Who Is Allowed Access?
Current COA Students, Faculty, Staff
How do I access the New York Times online?
- Any current student, faculty or staff member may access the NYT by signing up for a "pass". To access your pass, click on the New York Times link from our Databases A-Z page or click here. If you are off campus, you will need to contact the library (x5665 or library@coa.edu) for the off campus id/password if you do not already know it.
- You will be prompted to enter your campus email address and a password of your choosing.
- Click the “Create My Account” button at the bottom of the page. You have now simultaneously registered with NYTimes.com and secured a “pass” for access to the site.
- You may now enjoy access to the NYTimes.com website and any NYT mobile app from any location using the same email address and password as above.
What mobile apps are there?
- Visit http://nytimes.com/mobile
Do you already have a personal NYTimes subscription?
- If you are paying for a pre-existing personal NYTimes.com digital subscription or a print copy which comes with all digital access, you may consider cancelling by calling (800) 591-9233. Not all print and digital plans are the same so you should review the cancellation policy first: http://www.nytimes.com/content/help/rights/sale/terms-of-sale.html#cancel
