Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a system that allows Thorndike Library patrons to request library materials and articles from over 50,000 participating libraries in the United States and internationally! Patrons can email ill@coa.edu to request materials.

American Comparative Literature Association
The American Comparative Literature Association, founded in 1960, is the principal learned society in the United States for scholars whose work involves several literatures and cultures as well as the premises of cross-cultural literary study itself.

Association for the Study of Literature and Environment
The Association for the Study of Literature and Environment seeks to inspire and promote intellectual work in the environmental humanities and arts. Authors Guild
With more than 15,000 members, the Authors Guild is the nation’s oldest and largest professional organization for published writers.
Modern Language Association
Founded in 1883, the Modern Language Association of America provides opportunities for its members to share their scholarly findings and teaching experiences with colleagues and to discuss trends in the academy.
Poets & Writers
Founded in 1970, Poets & Writers is the nation’s largest nonprofit organization serving creative writers.
Pop Culture Association
PCA is a group of scholars and enthusiasts who study Popular Culture—writing, sharing, and publishing in the field.
Society for Literature, Science, and the Arts
The Society for Literature, Science, and the Arts welcomes colleagues in the sciences, engineering, technology, computer science, medicine, the social sciences, the humanities, the arts, and independent scholars and artists. SLSA members share an interest in problems of science and representation, and in the cultural and social dimensions of science, technology, and medicine.
